Men's Bison: I wear mine daily for work in a warehouse. I
love Keens and my last pair was comfortable and lasted
forever. These are very comfy as well and provide great
support in the arch (I have flat feet) and the ankles.
Perhaps this is the wrong application as they have poor
traction on concrete. Could be my bad choice as far as
application.

Women's Bison: I do a lot of hiking and trekking and I have
bee doing that for 10 years. I do it once or twice a week
and I need boots which can cope with my obsession with my
hobby. I have to mention that I was surprised when I first
wore Keen Pyrenees, they were comfortable right out of the
box. Most of the new pairs I have tried in years required
some break-in period, but this baby was remarkably comfy.
But the comfort and not the only feature I was looking for,
I want the boot to work perfectly on any kind of terrain
like muddy, icy, snowy, rocky and slippery. I have worn them
for last 2 years and so far they have kept its grip on such
surfaces and lived up to my expectations. I loved this style
so much that I started wearing it to work and my colleagues
also complemented on it. I can't expect anything more.

My wife and I own a retriever training kennel in CO. I wear
these boots everyday or maybe I should say, every nice day.
They were purchased based on a pair of Keen sandals I have
had for over 2 years. The sandals were fabulous,
unfortunately these boots fall short. They are comfortable,
but it ends there. Very slippery on wet surfaces, i.e., wet
cement in the kennels. The tongue is too short & after an
hour or so the laces slip up and over the tongue, then they
become loose and have to be re-laced. Not very warm, and
seem to have lost their water resistance very quickly. I am
a little disappointed, since the sandals were the best pair
I've ever owned. On cold, wet, snowy days, I wear my
LaCrosse boots that are now almost 5 years old. I wear the
Keen boots on days when I could almost get away with wearing
my sandals. Maybe Keen should test their products with folks
like myself who are more interested in functionality than
fashion! |
